Assistant Coach (North) – Danny Lopez
Danny’s passion for boxing started right here at Boxing Inc in 2015. Danny Lopez began boxing by taking our group boxing classes, but his hard work and determination eventually led him to our competition team. Danny successfully competed as an amateur for years, winning the Gene Lewis Boxing Tournament in 2018, and the Golden Gloves State Championship title in 2018 and 2019. Coached by Zac Aikin from the ground up, Danny is proof of the quality of instruction available at Boxing Inc. Danny is excited to develop youth athletes in the same way that he was developed by Coach Zac Aikin. Danny will be coaching our athletes at the North location.
The aim of Boxing Inc’s Youth Competition Team program is to equip each athlete with a strong foundation of technique, imperative to success in competition. Within this foundation, athletes will develop solid footwork, balance, defensive skills, effective striking, and ring generalship.
In addition to a technical foundation of boxing skills, the Youth Competition Team program will help young athletes develop characteristics and life skills that will benefit them far beyond their boxing career. Athletes will be taught the discipline, dedication, and work ethic required to succeed not just in boxing, but in all future life endeavors. Within this program, they will face challenges, which they will learn to overcome. They will face adversity, rise above it, and exhibit excellent sportsmanship in the process.
