Sean Weatherbie

I have been into fitness and combat sports since I was a young boy. I grew up watching Bruce Lee movies and always wanted to be a martial artist when I grew up. Once I entered high school I joined the wrestling team and soon realized how much work and dedication it takes to excel in combat sports. I was the “little guy” on the team and had some what of a napoleon complex. I felt like I had something to prove and always had to work twice as hard as the next guy just to be on the same level competitively. I was never as big or naturally athletic as some of the other guys but made up for it with drive and determination. After high school I stayed fit by lifting weights and running often. In college I had my hand in pretty much every club sport, including tennis, racket ball, soccer, and lacrosse. After college I found Boxing Inc and fell in love with it instantly. I loved the vibe, the other members and most of all the awesome trainers. I have wanted to be a member of the Boxing Inc family since I first walked through those doors. It look me some years of training here before i was able to acquire the skill set needed to be able to instruct others but I am honored to be able to help out all the other members, like the trainers did for me when I first started here. Everyone has their own reasons for why they are here at the gym but most of them, like myself, are here to improve themselves and that’s something I can really get behind. I will gladly carry on the Boxing Inc tradition of camaraderie and hard work. If i could give one piece of advice to another member it would be: “Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own.” -Bruce Lee
