Each trainer is exceptionally disciplined and brings their own unique experience to Boxing Incorporated. Their purpose is not only to teach, but to inspire and motivate our members to obtain their goals.

The personal trainers at Boxing Inc hold you accountable while continuously motivating you to reach your full potential. When you join Boxing Inc you receive a personalized fitness plan with regularly changing routines that produce the optimum results for every body type. The coaches at Boxing Inc are personally invested in the individual success of every member, and will make sure that you become the fighter you are destined to be.

Kelsey Walcott

Kelsey’s passion for fitness was sparked by taking the women’s kickboxing classes in 2012. After taking boxing and kickboxing classes for several years, Kelsey tried Crossfit and immediately fell in love with the intensity. Kelsey received her Level 1 Crossfit certification in 2014 and continued to get her Leve II Crossfit certification in 2015. She also has completed the Crossfit Weightlifting Course, USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach certification, Functional Movement Systems Level 1 certification, Strong First Girya Level 1 Kettlebell Certification, and is currently working on her Precision Nutrition level 1 certification. Kelsey is dedicated to continuing her education within the health and fitness industry, and she loves passing along that knowledge to others. Kelsey frequently competes in local weightlifting meets, and hopes to be on the national stage soon!

Nick “Nyquil” Rhoads

Nick “Nyquil” Rhoads is a very well known MMA fighter in Tucson AZ and teaches Boxing and Kickboxing classes and Youth Classes.

Nick started boxing when he was 13 years old at Boxing Inc. Before he started in MMA, Boxing is what got him started and that is where his passion for the lifestyle began. By the age of 18 he had his first Amateur fight in MMA which was a Win! He now has the chance to show his skills to others looking to learn the arts of Boxing and MMA.

Nicolon Toyota-Sharpe

Nicolon began wresting in high school, and continued on to become a dedicated wrestler throughout college. After his wrestling career had ended, he felt a void in his life that just lifting weights couldn’t fill. Nicolon’s love of boxing and kickboxing began after college, when Nicolon moved to China where he was introduced to the sport. When he returned to the U.S., a friend of his told him about Boxing Incorporated. Nicolon went in for a trial class and was immediately hooked. Nicolon loved the class structure and the intensity that went along with it, and found it much more motivating to work out with a group of people with similar goals and a like mindset. After working out at Boxing Inc. for around two years, Nicolon was hired on as an instructor. As an instructor he strives to bring a challenging cardio workout mixed with the right amount of boxing technique so that students feel they are getting good workout while still improving their boxing skills.

John Pasadilla

John Pasadilla

John Pasadilla has been a member of Boxing Inc since 2010. Though he frequented the boxing classes for years, he found his real passion for fitness when he started taking the Crossfit classes in 2012. After being a front runner in the class for years, John got certified and began coaching for Boxing Inc in 2016. He completed his first team crossfit competition with fellow coach Manny Guajardo at the Green Valley Clash of the Fittest in 2016 where they placed second in their division. John is passionate about delivering fun, effective workouts all while emphasizing safety and proper technique!

Kirsten Peregrina

Kirsten joined Boxing Incorporated back in 2012. Like many of our Crossfit instructors, she took the boxing classes for years before finding her passion for Crossfit. Kirsten earned her Crossfit level 1 certification in 2015 and has been teaching ever since! Kirsten is committed to delivering a great workout while having fun and most importantly staying safe with proper form.

Nathan Olivo

7 years ago, Nate describes himself as the guy who ran out of breath walking from his car to order fried chicken. Wanting to feel a bit healthier, but hating the hamster wheel feeling of a traditional globe gym, he tried the gym a friends was teaching BJJ at, which lead him to Boxing Inc. In a stereotypical grappling love story, he was strangled in numerous and increasingly humiliating ways and immediately fell in love. Years later, he has earned his purple belt as well as a family of tight-knit assassins. Nate continues to enjoy training and claims that he never runs out of breath to order fried chicken (Nathan admits his nutrition still needs some dialing in).  During his BJJ and fitness journey, Nathan has begun teaching BJJ and Crossfit. The reward of sharing what he has learned and watching people transform their lives is what Nathan loves about being an instructor at Boxing Inc.

Patrick Celix

Patrick fell in love with the sport of Boxing at the young age of 14 and became a team member of Boxing Inc in 2010. Patrick says that the mental and physical challenges of boxing has taught him to become more confident not only in himself as a fighter but as a person. In addition to teaching technique, Patrick wants to train his students to be confident in themselves and their abilities and becoming mentally fearless inside and outside of the ring. Patrick enjoys teaching members of all skill levels, from competitive boxers to those who have no experience with boxing.

 

 

Frank Ruiz

Frank Ruiz

Frank started taking kickboxing classes at Boxing Incorporated back in 2014. His goal was to learn self-defense while simultaneously getting in better shape. One day, Frank decided to mix up his routine by taking a boxing class. After that class, Frank was addicted to boxing. He began taking private training sessions from boxing instructor Jake, and continued his one-on-one training for two straight years. After witnessing his dedication and love for the sport, Frank was hired as an instructor in 2016. As an instructor, his goals are to teach correct form and technique while pushing his students past their comfort zone and towards their goals.

Fitness has always been an important aspect of Briana’s life, from being an athlete herself to becoming a group fitness instructor and personal trainer. In her classes, Briana hopes to encourage and motivate women to achieve their fitness goals while enjoying the process of adopting a healthier lifestyle.

Nathan McDonald

Nathan McDonald is a lifelong martial artist who has trained in boxing, tae kwon do, kickboxing, mma, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Focusing on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the last few years, Nathan is a purple belt under Kevin Jones. A regular competitor, he won the 2017 IBJJF Pan Americans in his age division. Nathan focuses on fundamental core principles and techniques.

Robert Maldonado

Robert’s love of MMA started early, as he began wrestling in junior high and continued through high school where he was on the varsity wrestling team all 4 years. After high school, he went on to wrestle at Florida International University in Miami. After September 11th, 2001, he decided to come back to Tucson to be closer to his family. Back home, he continued wrestling at Pima Communtity College, where he rekindled wrestling bonds with good friends and upcoming MMA stars James Terry, Drew Fickett, and Dominic Cruz. Robert had his first pro fight in Phoenix, Arizona in 2002 and his last pro fight was in November 2008. During those 6 years, he obtained titles in three different organizations and has had 30 professional MMA fights all over the world!

Thomas Aguirre

Thomas started taking kickboxing classes back in 2005. He quickly developed a passion for the sport and started competing in kickboxing and Muay Thai in 2006. He had several amateur fights over the years before turning to teaching boxing and kickboxing in 2015. He also enjoys participating in half marathon as a means of staying active and competitive, and also enjoys spending time with his family.

Jocelyn Bonham

Jocelyn Bonham has been a kickboxing instructor with Boxing Inc since 2010! She enjoys delivering classes that not only get you in shape, but also teach you the fundamentals of real kickboxing. It is her passion to bring out the best of every individual no matter what level they are at. When she isn’t teaching kickboxing, Jocelyn is pursuing her other passion, competitive cycling!  Check out our competitors page for more info about Jocelyn’s impressive accomplishments so far in her cycling career!

Derric began his training in martial arts at the young age of 10 and has experience with multiple disciplines including taekwondo, karate, boxing, kung fu, wushu, and sanda. What Derric loves about training martial arts is the sense of self discipline and integrity that dedication to these sports can provide, all while continuing to build a stronger character. Derric inspires others to be great not only in their training, but in all aspects of life.

Nicole has been physically active her entire life. When she began getting bored of her usual fitness routine of running and lifting, she decided to look for alternatives and found herself walking through the doors of Boxing Inc. After attending nearly everyday for 5 years, she decided that she wanted to change people’s lives like her own life had been changed. As a trainer, Nicole is committed to helping members work towards and achieve their goals. Seeing her students push themselves and never give up is the reason Nicole loves being an instructor at Boxing Inc!

Ed “Wild” West

Ed “Wild” West has fought in Bellator and is a very well known high level Pro MMA fighter in Tucson AZ. He teaches MMA and Youth Classes.

He has been training in MMA since the age of 9, and at the age of 19 he went Pro in Mixed Martial Arts which he has been doing this for over 10 years now. “I’m proud to say I’m a veteran of the International Fight League as well as Bellatore.”

Brittany Kidwell

Brittany joined Boxing Inc all the way back in 2009! After doing a little bit of everything including Boxing, Jiu Jitsu, and Crossfit, she joined the Boxing Inc coaching staff in 2016. Since then she has earned her ISSA personal training and exercise therapy certifications, and in January of 2017 she earned her Jiu Jitsu blue belt under fellow Boxing Inc coach Kevin Jones. She frequently competes in local Jiu Jitsu tournaments, and will be expanding into the Crossfit competition scene soon!

Van Jr Sanders

Van “JR” Sanders is experienced in several styles of fighting such as Taekwondo, Boxing, Wing Chung, Kickboxing, Submission Grappling and focuses on Strength & Conditioning.

Van has been training in Martial Arts since the age of 9. He is experienced in Taekwando, Boxing, Wing Chun, Kickboxing, Submission Grappling, and Strength & Conditioning. He is a 2X Silver Medalist at Desert Quest. “I’m glad to be a part of the Boxing Inc Team and provide my expertise to anyone who needs it.”

Zen Montano

Zen Montano has competed in MMA and Muay Thai tournaments and now teaches Boxing and Muay Thai classes.

Zen has fought in both Muay Thai and MMA fights. He trains and corners Muay Thai and MMA fighters, also has attended CrossFit training Seminars and has a passion for developing fitness and fighters.

Tyson Lord

Tyson Lord was born in Los Angeles CA., but was raised in Michigan. He has been here in Tucson for 3 years. Tyson has had training in many different styles starting at the young age of 6 years old in lki Shindo Karate. He reached Black belt status at 15 years of age. After high school he got involved in Boxing, Muay Thai, and MMA. In his extra time he likes hiking, going to the lake, shooting with his dad, video games, and watching any MMA fight he can get his hands on.

Kevin Jones

Kevin Jones is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is the Coach for the Boxing Inc. East Grappling team. He teaches Jiu Jitsu with No Gi and with Gi.

Kevin is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Certified Grappling Instructor training under 4th Degree Brazililan Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Roy Harris. In December 2011 KJ was promoted to the rank of Black Belt and continues his education with his Professor Harris as well as his training partners in Tucson. KJ also is an avid CrossFitter and a Certified Level 1 Trainer.

Manny Guajardo

Manny Guajardo has competed in Muay Thai and MMA tournaments and is now one of Boxing Inc. East’s Amateur Boxers, he is CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Olympic Lifting certified. He teaches Boxing and CrossFit classes.

Manny is a 2 time AZ Golden Glove Open Division 165 lb. Champion in 2013 and 2014. “This has been my passion for years as I have been competing in Boxing, Muay Thai, and MMA since I was 16. I am committed in the training of diverse individuals at our gym due to the fact that I want to see everyone reach their fitness goals.”

Chris Gonzales

Chris Gonzales was born and raised here in Tucson AZ. He began learning the technical art of boxing at the young age of 12. He is CrossFit Certified in Olympic Lifting and Kettle Bells. He desires to help people reach their fitness goals both physically and mentally, as well as help those that desire to box competitively. He comes from a family that all stay active, from an older brother who is a professional boxer, to a little brother ranked #2 in the state of Arizona in cross country. He enjoys Hiking, camping, working-out and going to church.

Jerome Gage

Jerome Gage is a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and helps with the Boxing Inc. East  Grappling Team. Jerome has trained and cornered multiple fighters in the UFC. He teaches Jiu Jitsu with No Gi and with Gi.

Jerome is a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Roy Harris and Kevin Jones. He is also a certified Federal Law Enforcement Training Center Defensive Tactics Instructor. He has competed in many Jiu Jitsu and Grappling Tournaments including the IBJJFl, USA Wrestling, NAGA, and Grappler’s Quest.

Elijah Costello

When Elijah started taking youth boxing at Boxing Inc, he describes himself as lacking discipline, physical fitness, and self-confidence. Not only did Elijah overcome these obstacles, but he has become an active member of Boxing Inc’s competitive boxing team with a total of 8 amateur fights and a goal of continuing on to become a Professional boxer. As a youth boxing instructor, he hopes to build relationships with our youngest members and help kids overcome the obstacles that he himself overcame when he was in their shoes.

Sergio Castillo

Sergio Castillo

Sergio Castillo is experienced with Wrestling and Grappling. He has also competed as an Amateur Boxer and in MMA. He teaches Boxing and Grappling Classes as well as Youth Classes.

Sergio started Grappling in 2010 and competed in several tournaments as well as in Judo tournaments. The competition was addicting and to this day he has fought in MMA where he remains Undefeated. Boxing Inc became a part of his life in 2012.

Charles Caraway

Charles Caraway corners and trains some of Tucson’s best MMA fighters, he is known for his outstanding boxing skills and charming personality.

Charles has been boxing since the age of 5, and has won 32 out of a total 37 amateur fights. Since 2009, he’s worked mostly with MMA fighters helping them improve their boxing skills as well as cultivating the talent of potential young fighters.

Danny Lopez

Danny began learning self-defense at the age of 11 due to bullying in school, and immediately became hooked on the sport of boxing. In 2015, Danny joined Boxing Inc and loved the atmosphere so much that he decided to pursue becoming a youth and adult boxing instructor. As an active member of Boxing Inc’s competition team, Danny has high hopes of becoming a professional boxer. He plans on sharing all of the knowledge he learns from his coaches with his classes and clients. Danny lives by the saying “Be the man a father would want his daughter to marry, but wouldn’t want his son to fight.”

Chris began training at Boxing Incorporated a decade ago, after being told by his doctor that he would be lucky to walk again let alone box after a spinal fusion. Chris refused to give up and through dedicated training fell in love with combat sports. This persistence led Chris to train with both professional and amateur fighters as well as participate in MMA, kickboxing, and Muay Thai bouts of his own. During this time Chris was given the opportunity to teach, and he immediately developed a passion for coaching. Chris strives to bring all of his own enthusiasm for the sport to his students while continuing his own journey with combat sports.

Miranda McCluskey

Miranda has always maintained a very athletic lifestyle and has constantly been involved in swimming and running. Miranda joined Boxing Inc about a year and half ago just looking for something different to try, and she found that she absolutely loved boxing and kickboxing! Miranda had the drive to push herself and strengthen her technique by taking as many classes as she could. Each day she got stronger, worked harder, and with some training from the Boxing Inc staff she eventually became an instructor! Her career as a fourth grade teacher confirms Miranda has the motivation and desire to help people. Every class Miranda teaches as Boxing Inc, she strives to allow individuals to gain confidence, push their limits, and SWEAT!

Kimberly Card

Maintaining an active lifestyle has always been of paramount importance to Kimberly, studying and teaching various styles of dance for years. Kimberly unearthed her passion for boxing after becoming a Boxing Inc member back in 2012. At first, her primary objective was to get physically fit after the birth of her third child. She instantly became hooked to how strong the classes made her feel, both physically and mentally. After taking a brief break from boxing to focus on her career as a paralegal and a part time Zumba instructor, she rejoined the newest North side location. Kimberly emerged herself in classes and also tried new aspects unfamiliar to her, such as sparring and Muay Thai. Shortly after her return to boxing, she discovered she would be welcoming her fifth child to her family. Undeterred, she continued to training for the entire 9 months of pregnancy, with her last class being just two days before delivering her baby! As a result of her tenacity, she began training with staff to become an instructor just 3 weeks after birth. Kimberly enjoys helping people reach their fitness goals as an instructor. When she’s not in the gym, she enjoys dancing and trying to keep up with her 5 children!

Gabe started at Boxing Inc back when he was 12. He enjoyed boxing and grappling but after a few years became inactive. Gabe then returnedto Boxing Inc after he graduated high school weighing over 230 lbs. While training in the Muay Thai and MMA classes he developed an itch to fight. Gabe has now fought multiple times and was the 2017 US Muay Thai Open 132 lbs runner up. Gabe hopes to gain as much experience as he can and pass what he learns in fighting and overall fitness for others.

Maggie has been training boxing since she was 12 years old! She uses her enthusiastic, energetic, and fun teaching style to share her passion for fitness with her women’s kickboxing classes and youth boxing classes. In her spare time, Maggie likes to teach her brother baseball and help her siblings with their schoolwork.

Matt Redman

Matt has been training boxing, MMA, kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu  for 10 years. Besides competing in both MMA and BJJ, Matt also spent 8 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, was accepted to law school, and passed the bar! When teaching his classes, Matt strives to instill a sense of confidence in his students both inside and outside the gym.

Jay Petersen

Jay Petersen has been a part of the Boxing Inc. family since 2006 when he began as a member. Jay is currently a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Kevin Jones of Roy Harris Jiu Jitsu. He has competed in over 35 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments in which he has metaled multiple times at the AZ state championships, placed 3rd at the American Nationals (No-Gi) in 2011, and is a multiple time NAGA champion.
